On Earth As It Is In Heaven
Taking seriously Jesus' words about bringing forth God's will "on earth as it is in Heaven" reminds us that the Christian life is about action and about rearranging our lives so that God's will--his purposes, his agenda, his goals, etc.--are the driving factors in all our decision making.

The US could learn from the example of the Japanese Airline executive, as heard on CNN explaining his choice to ditch all his CEO perks when he had to lay off employees in his country's recent economic downturn. He dropped his own salary, in addition to his perks,to 90K a yr.- same salary as his pilots. He said his conscience dictated that he do so.You cannot exactly accuse him of being that greedy executive referred to in your recent sermon!
