In contrast to this is the popular view of love in our culture which sees love as an arbitrary feeling which we fall into and out of.
So what are the dangers of the non-Christian view of love? What kind of problems can result if we fail to see that true love is more than a feeling?

If love were just a "feeling," then a true relationship is not attainable with any of the 4 love definitions given on Sunday (Spouse, Children, Friends, etc.). Feeling love one day for someone and not the next day is not really love at all, but just the small, superficial cultural definition. Yet, unconditional love cannot always be explained with words, but is very clear with actions - which admittedly is not always easy - but then loving someone is not always easy either. God loves each and every one of us - including those who completely reject Him...WOW!
If love were just a feeling, then maybe by that definition one would automatically make God's love small and place it in a box. Then God wouldn't be my Great Big Amzaing God...how sad.
